When the surroundings are warm, Lake Chelan is Washington’s most popular attraction to visit. There is even more tourism in this area than any other region of the state. One of the unique features of the lake is its length-55 miles to be exact. It will take you a while to really explore the entire lake, and it will not be completed in a day or two. This natural beauty is not just decoration. Throughout the year, every beautiful thing is woven in the tapestry of life.

Try Tasting the Wines

There are more than 35 wineries in the area, so make sure to add one or two Chelan Lake wineries to your itinerary. Many people think the area is comparable to the wineries in Sonoma Valley, California. Tsillan Cellars & Sorrento’s Ristorante is one of the best wineries on Lake Chelan due to its beautiful Tuscan style. Another great winery in Lake Chelan is Benson Vineyard Winery. From the top of the mountain you can enjoy the magnificent view of the lake, it has always been one of my favorite things to do in Chelan.

Go to the water park

Slidewaters has been named one of the 15 largest water parks in the United States year after year. There is nothing like spending a day at this water park when it is sweltering outside, which is one of the most popular family activities on Lake Chelan. The water park consists of many waterslides, a lazy river and an area for children to play. The water ski park opens at 10 am and closes at 7 pm every day, so there is enough time to visit the park.

Tour the Lake on Lady on the Lake boat

The Lady Lake Boat was originally built in 1900 to transport passengers from the south of the lake to the north. Now you can take multiple tours to reach the more difficult parts, such as trails that are only hiking. You can even head towards the remote campsites to get away from everything, which is one of the more unique things to do in Chelan. Try your luck at golfing

If you are wandering for something to do on Lake Chelan, golf is popular in group trips, because women can go for wine tasting and men for golf (although this may be the complete opposite!). Lake Chelan Golf Course is just minutes away from the town center and is a great way to play golf. You can play golf for most of the year, with prices ranging from $30 to $50 per person, depending on whether it is off-season or high-season.

Camping at night

In summer, camping is one of the most popular activities on Lake Chelan. Spend three to four days camping, then go to town to enjoy some activities or grab groceries. Another popular campground is Twenty-Five Mile, which is 30 minutes from town and halfway west of the lake. There is a small shop where you can buy camping supplies, such as wood or ice cubes, and necessities such as s’mores. Take a tour by helicopter

Although the drive around the lake is beautiful, when you take a helicopter tour, you will see a completely different view. Although this is one of the more expensive activities to do on Lake Chelan, you will not regret it when you see the scenery. You can take a short helicopter tour or take a day trip and visit some wineries during the tour. Although this is a bit of a splurge, if you need the idea of dating, it’s perfect.

Visit Stehekin

Stehekin has always been on the top of the lake. Only 80 people live here. The only way to get here is by hiking, by seaplane or by boat. You can get here on your own boat or the Lady of the Lake tour, but you should know that it will be a full day activity. This is one of the most unique activities in Lake Chelan, as there is only a small convenience store. Walking and hiking are fun, but be prepared and book with American Airlines reservations and thus have some good fun.
